No Wake status has been declared on the Lakes and Upper River 6/26/2008 THURSDAY UPDATE: As of 8am, No Wake status has been declared on the Lakes and Upper River (north of Stratton). Restricted Boating (closure) remains on the Lower River (below Stratton). FWA staff have been working hard to secure debris and bogs so that major navigational hazards are cleared. News from Surf Expo Orlando 2006 9/17/2006 The Raging Buffalo / Midwest Militia / Liquid Sports / Chicago MasterCraft Crew dropped in at Surf Expo in Orlando to see what's a buzz in the industry. Highlights from the expo were the WBM Riders Awards Banquet, Danny Harf's best trick award for his recent 1080 landed him a standing ovation. The long awaited Ronix Wakeboards product line was off the hook. The Thursday night party at OWC was hindered by a 45 minute cloud burst, but that didn't stop Parks Bonifay from handing out a couple of hefty garbage bags of cash to the winners of the Parks Bonifay Double Up Competition. Raging Buffalo Wakeboard Season Final Round Up 9/17/2006 Thanks to everyone who participated in the wakeboard school this season. We taught over 400 lessons and mother nature gave us great weather through most of the summer. Our summer Midweek Wake-Up events at The Broken Oar every Wednesday had great turnouts and look for more great events from our buddies at Midwest Militia. Speaking of the Midwest Militia, their final weekend festival of the season happens in Ottawa on September 30th.
